Privacy Policy
DinePerq is operated by Reward Otter. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and — importantly — how your account is shared across the Reward Otter family of products so the cross-product bundle can work.
Who we are
DinePerq is operated by Reward Otter (“Reward Otter,” “we,” “us”), the company behind the Reward Otter family of products, which also includes TripleDip (tripledip.ai) and MyReward. This policy is the DinePerq-specific companion to the Reward Otter privacy policy at rewardotter.com/privacy, which governs the family as a whole. Where the two differ, the Reward Otter policy controls.
Your shared Reward Otter account
DinePerq is a DinePerq-branded front end over a shared Reward Otter backend. This is the most important thing to understand about your privacy with us:
- One account across the family. Creating a DinePerq account creates or links a single Reward Otter identity. The same account underlies DinePerq and our other products, so your email, profile, and authentication are shared across the family.
- Shared subscription & entitlements. Plus and bundle entitlements are stored centrally against your Reward Otter account, which is what lets a benefit purchased in one product apply across the family. Your subscription status is therefore visible to and shared among Reward Otter products.
- You still sign in per site. Being signed in to one Reward Otter product does not automatically sign you in to another; you authenticate separately on each domain even though the underlying account is the same.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information — your email address, name, and password (stored only as a secure hash by our identity provider).
- Your wallet data — the cards and programs you choose to add so DinePerq can map your rewards. We do not ask for full card numbers; this is the set of programs and card types you tell us you carry. See “Your wallet data and storage choices” below.
- Payments — if you purchase Plus or a bundle, our payment processor collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Communications — messages you send us for support.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and usage data — app/site interactions, approximate location (if you grant it, to show nearby restaurants), and diagnostic logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies — to keep you signed in and to understand and improve the product. You can control cookies through your browser.
How we use your information
- Provide, maintain, and improve DinePerq and the Reward Otter family.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Map and stack your dining rewards and send activation reminders.
- Process transactions and manage subscriptions and entitlements.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Communicate with you about your account, support, and (with your consent) tips.
How we share your information
- Across the Reward Otter family. As described above, your account identity and subscription status are shared among Reward Otter products to operate the single account and the cross-product bundle.
- Service providers (processors). We use trusted vendors to run the service, including WorkOS (authentication and identity), Supabase (database and backend infrastructure), Stripe (payment processing), and email and analytics providers. They may process your data only on our instructions.
- Legal and safety. Where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of our services.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, consistent with this policy.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Your wallet data and storage choices
DinePerq is designed so that the cards and programs you add stay in your control. Depending on your settings, your wallet data can be kept on your device or in storage you control, rather than on our servers. Your entitlement status (whether you have Plus or a bundle) is always stored server-side against your Reward Otter account, because that is what the benefit is attached to.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and afterward only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or object to certain processing of your personal information. Because your account spans the Reward Otter family, a deletion request is handled at the Reward Otter account level. To make a request, contact us at support@rewardotter.com.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport and a separately-secured session secret. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
DinePerq is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of DinePerq means you accept the updated policy.
